Our focus for the past many weeks has been on Jim’s frail health. It’s been on supporting his family through the fear and the uncertainty of major surgeries and their outcomes.

There really should be a “pause button” on the rest of life’s realities while a family struggles through life and death scenarios. But these realities remain, and build, even while we don’t pay them much attention.

If at all possible, we want to step in and shelter Jim and his family from the stress of the every day. There is just no room for Jim’s wife, Marah, to worry about her grocery bill, her hydro bill, or debt that is accumulating. Through our fundraising efforts, we are attempting to alleviate this worry just a bit, and though we are doing very well, we’re not there yet!
